What’s the background to Mastermind Groups?

Figure reading up background to Mastermind GroupsIn 1908 Napoleon Hill was commissioned by Andrew Carnegie (the Steel Magnet and richest man of the time) to interview the 504 most successful people. The purpose was to find what success has in common.

His book, ‘Think and Grow Rich’ came out in 1937 some 29 years later.  It outlined ’13 Principles’ as being common to every successful person.

One of the key principles is that of the Master Mind Group. Hill demonstrated that no successful person does it alone, they are all surrounded by people who; advise, challenge, encourage, motivate, inspire and spark them to be better than they could ever be on their own.

He asserted that the mastermind group enables them to tap into an intelligence that is beyond themselves – that the coming together of minds focused on a single purpose creates a fusion of intellect that could never be achieved by the individuals on their own.

This principle is still very valid and alive and well in our groups.
